When to choose it

Use the RU2100 when a 1/4-inch groove needs an upcut flute that draws chips toward the router. It is an option for a guided slot where clearing debris matters more than keeping the face nearest the router as clean as possible.

Check the edge of a test piece if the router-side veneer will be visible. The full flute length describes the cutter geometry. The router and bit manuals govern depth per pass and the usable setup.

Which face should I inspect for tear-out?

Inspect the face nearest the router, especially on fragile veneer. An upcut favors chip removal and the farther face.

Does the bit have a guide bearing?

No bearing is listed or shown. The router setup controls the path.

What collet does it take?

Use the exact 1/4-inch size specified for the RU2100.
