When to choose it

Use the 1066 for a straight-sided cut with a nominal 1/2-inch diameter. It suits a project where a guided groove of that width is wanted and the router accepts a 1/2-inch shank.

Measure the mating stock before choosing it for plywood. A groove cut to a nominal 1/2 inch may be loose when the panel is undersized. Compare a narrower plywood-groove cutter if fit matters.
