When to choose it

The RD1900 cuts a nominal 7/32-inch groove, narrower than a standard quarter inch. Choose it when the measured fit calls for that width and downcut geometry is suitable for the visible near face.

The router still takes a quarter-inch collet. Check the mating stock with a trial cut and compare the RD1600 when a narrower 1/8-inch groove is needed.
