When to choose it

The 40-114 makes a straight 45-degree bevel. Choose it for an edge detail where a flat angled face suits the piece and the router setup accepts a half-inch shank and the cutter’s full diameter.

Compare the bevel size on a sample and use the manufacturer’s cutting height and body diameter when checking clearance. A roundover of a similar size creates a different curved face.
